We provide several options for you to personalize or alter information about your profile and account. To visit your account settings click "Settings" on the left-side menu, then click your account at the top under "Account" to reach your settings. Here you will see a description of each setting. Clicking any of these settings will give you the option to alter them. ### Main Settings: ### These are the primary settings for your account. * ** Name ** - This is your display name that is displayed publicly in tags, conversations, profiles, etc. * ** Alias/Username ** - This is the username you use to login to Hey.Café and what is used to create tags. * ** Email ** - The email you used to signup and verify your account with Hey.Café. You will be sent notifications to your email depending on your settings and the circumstances. * ** Password ** - The password used to login to your account. ** Important: ** When setting a password, remember to make it secure and not something easily found in a dictionary. For example: "password" is an insecure password and easy to guess. * ** Pro ** - Your status on whether you have subscribed to Pro or not. Clicking here will bring up the options to purchase Pro. You must have your country and province set in order to subscribe to Pro. * ** Bio ** - Your profile biography that will be displayed inside your header. * ** Website ** - A website you would like to link to from Hey.Café. Generally used to link to personal websites or places like your Youtube channel. * ** Pronouns ** - The pronouns people will see when visiting your profile so people will know how you would like to be addressed. * ** Feed Filter ** - The type of feed being displayed on the main conversation feed. * ** Language ** - The language you would like to Hey.Café to be displayed and translated into. Hey.Café was created in English and the text will automatically be translated through a separate service. * ** Country ** - The country that you reside in. This must be set in order to subscribe to Pro. * ** Province ** - The province/state that you reside in. This must be set in order to subscribe to Pro. ### Profile Design: ### These settings alter how your account is publicly displayed. * ** Avatar ** - The image shown as the display picture associated with your account. This is seen everywhere your account is mentioned or used on Hey.Café. * ** Header ** - The image displayed at the top your profile in the header. ### App Settings: ### These settings alter how the app is displayed to you. * ** Colour: ** - The colour that most buttons and messages from you will be displayed in. * ** Theme: ** - The background colour scheme of the app. * ** Stats: ** - Set whether stats such as follower numbers, following count, and reaction counts will be displayed or not. * ** Reduce Motion: ** - Disables some of the animations used on the website. * ** Hide Suggestions: ** - Set whether you would like to see suggested cafés to join and accounts to follow or not. * ** Display Mode: ** - Alternates between light mode, dark mode, and automatic based on your browser settings. * ** Scale Mode: ** - The scale in which Hey.Café is being displayed to you. ### Emails: ### The settings alter what types of notifications you will receive via email. Changing these settings __ will not __ change what notifications you receive on the website itself. * ** Updates: ** - Notifications regarding updates about Hey.Café. * ** Notifications: ** - Notifications regarding post interactions. * ** Messages: ** - Notifications regarding new messages sent in a chatroom. ### Special: ### Other settings or options related to your account. * ** Delete Account ** - Deletes your Hey.Café account. ** WARNING: ** __ This action is destructive. You will permanently lose access to your account if you do this. __
