Network-level IP blocked from access - Country / Australia🩹 Legal Requirements & Bans
We have made the decision due to the new Australia law amendment for social media that now goes into effect to block access to Australia. We do not collect user data and due to this we have no way to do age verification. ### Why? ### As of December 10th we have had to network-level block for any IP's within Australia. We know this is hard, both on our users but also a action we must take. We do not have the income, the ability, or the lack of morals required to do mass ID verification and data collection. We also do not have a way to unblock specific IP's even if you do send us this info (but we do not want you to). Laws like this are only going to hurt smaller providers like us and we are disappointed in the Australian government in removing any competition from the major providers. ### Learn more ### Learn more about the problem with this age verification law at: techreport.com/news/business/australia-teen-social-media-ban-age-verification/ ### I am not in Australia ### If you see the ban message and link to this page it may be due to you being on a VPN connection and our system detects the VPN IP as being hosted in Australia. There is no 100% way to detect this so we just go based on the network provider ASN list. If you are NOT in Australia and using a VPN change your VPN location settings to see if that helps.
